Photograph-a-holic's style diary

About & Contact

My name is Ruth, between the 9 to 5 I sit at a desk.  Between the 5 to 9 I wander to unexplored cities and dip my toes in new oceans.  Eat delicious, sticky, mouthwatering, foods washed down with crisp New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, South African Malbec or the barman’s most recommended cocktail.  Bulge my wardrobe with summer dresses when I should really be shopping for the UK’s 364 day winter.  Quench my skin in lotions and potions, hunt for the perfect red lipstick and let my nasal passages go wild with new beauty scents.

But my main passion?  Photography.  Scratch a little deeper and you find this blog is my playground, my space to experiment, learn, discover all what my camera can achieve.  I don’t like being squished up in a little box, so my camera and I aim to document and share all the awesomeness we come across right here, with you.

Fancying working together?

I’m always looking for new people and businesses to work with.  There’s no need to be shy, I’m a friendly type.  Email me at 529scout@gmail.com and let’s see what awesomeness we can shake up together.

  3. Ruth- I’m glad you started a blog. As odd as this may seem, at age 60 I can relate to most of what you said in this ‘about’ posting. Some days I feel like 17, as life and adventures seem new as each day arrives. Not sure what the formula is for staying young, but I think it has something to do with our hearts. At 60 I feel only slightly wiser than I did in my youth and maybe that is a good thing? Best wishes!

    • Ahh thank you, I love this comment. I know exactly what you mean, at age 30 some days I think I’ve learnt most of my lessons, then the next I’m left feeling clueless. Glad you’re liking the blog, I’m certainly enjoying making it 🙂

    • Hey!
Everything’s fine. I found I was getting lost with what I wanted/what my aim was with this blog so took a step back and reassesed. I know exactly what I want now and splitting my photography in two halves. Food and travel which I’ll set up some point soon, but also people photography. I’ve literally just set up my Facebook page for it if you want to check it out 🙂 RuthRidgewayPhotography

Can’t wait to do the other half of my photography interest/business soon too!
